New Features

New Character: Prophect

The wait is over. Prophect has entered the Arena!

Prophect is the evolution of Skulken and brings a new playstyle centered around prediction and psychological pressure. If you've been running Skulken, now's the time to push them further.

Passive: Foreshadow
When the user enters combat, their Physical or Special Attack is raised by 1 stage depending on if their opponent's Physical or Special Defense is weaker.

New Abilities

Deadly Premonition: The user marks a single target with an ominous energy that appears above the target’s head. After several seconds the mark explodes, dealing damage equal to a percentage of the damage the target received since the mark was applied.

Confusion: The user emits a strange beam of energy in a target direction, dealing moderate damage and Confusing entities hit by it for several seconds.

Cannon: The user fires a powerful cannon round in a target direction, staggering any entity it collides with.

Photon Barrage: The user fires a stream of charged particles that explode with electric energy upon impact.

New Status Effect: Confused

Entities that are Confused have their camera and movement inputs inverted for the duration of the effect.

Balance Changes

Tidemark & Tidemark Dash

  • Some marking abilities now carry their mark over when an enemy swaps. Tidemark and Tidemark Dash both take advantage of this, so your mark won't disappear just because your opponent switches out.

  • Tidemark Dash now has a slightly larger finishing slash hitbox.

  • Tidemark Dash damage increased: 50 to 75

Dark Pulse

  • Dark Pulse has a brand new VFX (as seen in the Prophect trailer). Kainite also has a special new animation when using this ability.

Tadalon

  • Polished Tadalon's animation when using Aqua Launcher to eliminate foot-sliding. Tadalon now also uses headlook while aiming and firing the ability.

Cooldown Duration Fixes

Several abilities had cooldowns that we shorter than their intended lengths. These have been corrected:

  • Hook (Salamurder)

  • Soul Siphon (Salamurder)

  • Riptide (Salamurder)

  • Bane Bubble (Tadalon)

Backend

  • Held Item effects have been consolidated to match how consumable items already work. This change was made to improve reliability and consistency. Please let us know if you notice any unusual behavior with held items!

Visuals

  • Improvements to nighttime lighting across scenes.

BUG FIXES

Thank you so much to everyone who submitted bug reports in our Discord, many of these bugs would’ve been much more difficult to fix without you!

Tidemark

  • Fixed a bug where Tidemark Dash was occasionally not dealing damage with its dash finisher.

  • Tidemark now correctly goes on cooldown if no living targets with the mark remain.

  • Tidemark's cooldown now displays correctly when the projectile attack misses.

Items & Menus

  • Ability Shards can no longer be accidentally assigned to the quick use menu.

  • Items such as bells can no longer be deleted by using them on Kinfolk in the menu.

Other

  • Fixed an issue where additional scenes were loading when returning from evolution.

Known Issues

(Non-Exhaustive)

  • In some instances held items aren’t brought into Multiplayer.

  • Kinfolk nicknames are not always displayed in some conversations.

  • HP numbers on enemy health bars don’t reflect exact damage taken.

  • Pathfinding issues and NPCs getting stuck in Ether Run.
